I spent much of my demented youth hanging around NP's Pullman Wa coal dock and got to know the coal dock foreman (Warren L Smith) quite well. And, 60 years later, I don't regret a minute of the time I spent there.
Somewhere in the Cushing area there was a single track bridge over a river with a gauntlet track shared by the ATSF and the MKT. Richard, did you happen to discover this when you were in the area?
In my prowling around in google this morning, I did come across some pix of a
MKT coal tipple. Another site
MKT coal tipple in Skedee OK has another picture (scroll down a little) of it and the text indicated it was in the ghost town of Skedee OK in Pawnee county and was destroyed in 1984.
