Odd Duck - I agree that it would be good to re-use the old bridge components for a bicycle/walkway path within the SMART rail corridor. Possibly could be useful at the San Antonio Creek, but it seems to me a 180-foot span is overkill where a 75 foot trestle was used to bridge the railroad over the waterway. A 90-foot section of its Warren trusses could span the creek with the other section re-used elsewhere, but that violates the historic integrity (and again where would the other piece go)?
I'm all for re-use but my sense is that bridge is doomed to becoming scrap metal.
