Thanks for that, I don't know why that link didn't pick up.
The Gold Line "Cornfield" maintenance and storage facility will stay where it is as storage and staging for downtown pm peak trains and also serve the cross town connector, which is now under construction to connect the Blue Line and Expo with direct through trains to Pasadena. Glendora, and ELA.
The Monrovia maintenance facility will compliment the Long Beach facility in scale and scope. There is also another similar "small" yard and service facility next to the Expo in West LA, also needed for staging and storage.
I believe the big red "button" in next to the wash rack, so my guess is possibly to store and treat recovered waste water????
And, yes there will be a public viewing area in the corner overlooking the facility.....as it seems that some folks do actually still like to see trains.....
