I started years before him and ran thousands of "trains" and engines, with a perfect safety record, as a fully qualified RR engineer, But I've never once described a 1940's engine and brake controls to the media as the "same" as the Siemens cab is equipped with, on National TV....

But maybe I don't really know very much these control systems as him, since I only spent the second half of my career planning and doing systems engineering "user requirements" development on transportation safety and automation technologies.....?

From the interview I saw, which CNN quickly caught, and wisely cut off, he's still a dufus in my book, based on the really dumb comments I saw him make......
