All West Coast Military Bases were closed in California? Hutch, not so fast!

Seems that someone forgot to tell that to the U.S. Air Force.

Beale AFB, Marysville, CA is open and active.

Edwards AFB, Edwards, CA is open and active.

Los Angeles AFB, El Segundo, CA is open and active.

March Reserve AFB, Riverside, CA is an active reserve training base.

Travis AFB, Fairfield, CA is home to over 7,000 Air Force Personnel.

Vandenburg AFB, Lompoc, CA is open and active.

The same someone(s) forgot to tell that to the U.S. Navy.

NAS Lemoore, Lemoore, CA is open and active.

Chocolate Mountain Range, USN, Chocolate Mountain, CA.

NAS Point Mugu, Point Mugu, CA is open and active.

Coronado Navy Base, San Diego, CA is open and active.

China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, CA is open and active.

There are several other Navy Bases and facilities that are open and active.

The same someone(s) also forgot to tell the Marines.

Twentynine Palms, San Bernardino County, is open and active, with over 8,000 personnel.

Camp Pendelton, San Diego, CA is open and active.

Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, CA is still in business, west coast basic training center.

There are a number of other Marine Corps facilities in operation in California.

There are two Coast Guard Bases in Northern California. One in Alameda, CA and one in Petaluma, CA

The U.S. Army is still active at Fort Irwin, Barstow, CA. The Presidio of Monterey is also an active army base.

There are a number of Army Reserve facilities around. Including, Fort Hunter Liggett, Camp Roberts, Camp San Louis Obispo and Camp Parks.

There are other military facilities in California that have been allocated to either Reserve forces or California National Guard use.

There are fewer Military bases in California, that is true, But the Military has hardly been banished from California.
