According to FRA regulations track has to be inspected WEEKLY unless it carries passengers then TWICE WEEKLY with a certain number of days between inspections...don't know where this "head FRA spokesman" gets "DAILY" unless there is some special FRA Emergency Order requiring same.

Quite a mess I'll admit!
