You couldn't pick a better spring day in California to run a special. UP 6936 rolls past Serrano, California on the famed SP Cuesta Grade this afternoon. The special rolled into the siding to meet a southbound, and then to Santa Margarita for Amtrak #11. It lagged a bit after the aptly named SLO stop, so I gave up on the chase since I rolled out early and was getting tired. It was worth it for being on top of San Luis Obispo. :-)
