Nothing wrong with reducing taxes and shrinking government if it is part of a broader well thought out strategy, just like there is nothing wrong with taxing the rich and printing money if it is part of a broader well thought out strategy. Unfortunately some folks (on all sides) think they know it all (Smarter above might fall into that category) and that anyone who disagrees is a bad guy. Most of the time (but not all the time) two heads are better than one, and we can actually learn from each other if we listen. But there don't seem to be many listeners in the legislatures these days. Democracy works best when people are prepared to learn and compromise, when you think you know it all....well the Taliban and IS think they know it all.
