The historic Placerville Branch in El Dorado County is suddenly again under bike trail advocate attack.The Placerville and Sacramento Valley railroad, and the El Dorado Western Railroad seek public support to fend off the trails attempt to cover over the track and decimate the public rail excursion programs fighting to provide the entire community with access to this beautiful gold county railline. Please see message under earlier posting regarding this "summer offensive" by trails, attempting to rush the new county board of supervisors.Since when in America should a personal recreational venue be able to exclude 99% of the total community and tourists from property paid for by county taxpayers.Next they will seek to chain link fence the adjoining public parks for only bike user. Your assistance is appreciated in direct letters to the five county Supervisors, e-mail addresses on county website.This issue is about a small elitist group desiring to exclude the majority of community who do not fit the bike culture and who enjoy a rail excursion provided by dedicated volunteers operating without the Federal breast milk of taxpayor money.
