Anyone interested in the Bessemer & Lake Erie, Nickel Plate, Soo Line, Maine Central, Metro North, Canadian National and/or Colorado Narrow Gauge will find that Trainorders provides more on these railroads than Altamont Press.

There is virtually no discussion of model railroading on Altamont Press whereas Trainorders has a whole board devoted to model railroading.

As for the leftist bias, I don't see it. Commentary which is overly partisan to one side or the other is either deleted or the webmaster puts a freeze on the thread.

Perhaps some people see an inherent left leaning view on Trainorders because the webmaster allows delete threads which discuss Amtrak and public transportation (and public/political support for these systems) positively - a liberal slant for those who view transportation issues through the prism of John Mica, Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, Rush Limbaugh, the Heritage Foundation the Cato Institute and Reason Foundation.)
