One of the tricks that I was taught from the county assere office was to look at a map where the township and between the townships that where the grade will be, at least when I was trying to find where the track went to San Anselmo as there is no visible signs at Larkspur and Corte Madera.

BTW if you Google Mill Valley you can see where the old roadbed went to Alto power station and you can see even today its still a power substation.
