Emissions Free trucks at THE PORTS !?! What a joke. The dock & yard equipment used by the Terminal Operators at Port of Seattle & Port of Tacoma use off - road diesel, which is still High - Sulfur and smokes like a coal - fired steam locomotive. I wonder if the Terminal operators at Ports of LA / LB also use the stuff ???
Any attempt to force the Port drayage truckers to switch to Zero - Emissions trucks will result in Zero truckers. They are already aware of the increased cost to drive and maintain the newer trucks with DEF Fluid smog controls; few can afford it now.
