Any Railroad damage from Flash Floods ???

Just curious -- Has there been any damage to rail lines in the desert areas of SoCal and / or Phoenix ??? A Flash Flood severe enough to wash out Interstate 10 is certainly capable of doing damage to Railroad Rights of Way. I'm thinking of the old Espee ( now U.P. ) along Salton Sea, and old Santa Fe ( now Arizona & California ) around Rice & Vidal Jct, CA. Also BNSF and / or U.P. in the Phoenix area. Any one heard or read anything ???
