I believe they ran another one of these in 1925 with 25 of the 5000 class 4-10-2 triple cylinder Baldwins. The Pecos River bridge shot is nice, was just looking at the area on Google Earth. The original SP line snaked down into and out of the Gorge of the Rio Grande to cross the Pecos River near water level. That line featured multiple tunnels and large bridges as well as steep grades and rockfall problems. The Pecos River Bridge in the photo was the first at that location that was replaced by the current Pecos River High Bridge.
