Re: Did Airlines Gouge Stranded Passengers After the Amtrak Wreck?

Airlines gouge their passengers at every opportunity. When the gas prices surged, the cost of tickets had a 'supplement' which never came off when fuel prices came down. Passengers are nickel and dimed to death with more 'supplemental' charges in the form of paying for all the extras that once were included in the fares. Not only that but baggage has now to be an extra charge and carry ons have to be smaller.
All this as more ever shrinking seats are squeezed into ever stretching airliners. No food unless you want to pay a fortune for a sandwich, no free drinks, no magazines or pillows; all of which came with the price of a ticket.
Of course, you can always upgrade and enjoy travel as it was!.
