The locomotive in question from CSRM is a nice size engine for a tourist line. I have looked at it personally and spoken with some of the crew at CSRM and it is in decent shape but may be in need of a firebox replacement. I know what this entails because I am currently in the process of replacing a crownsheet and rear tubesheet in my locomotive. This work is very accomplishable and is by no means a death sentence, but will be costly if contracted, or will require many man hours of very skilled labor. Realistically, the organization in Samoa needs to evaluate their skills, tools, and finances and weigh this data against their projected goals. To be honest, I wish the group luck, but do not think this is a benefit to their organization. I see it more as a drain on their already taxed physical, financial, and intellectual capital. In the interests of being constructive, if I can be of any help just let me know.
