The Western Railroad Museum has posted a number of photos of SF at this site. There are some wonderful photos of the old SP main in SF and several photos of San Francisco from the SP tracks. Here is a nice photo on Quint St. bridge looking southwest, tunnel 3 and the Oakdale overpass in the distance. The station there was called Newcomb I believe. In time there was a freight lead through this land here and in the future there is said to be a possible new station here.

The site is a little difficult to navigate at least on my chrome browser because when you try to go back it takes a lot of clicks for some reason.
