One of the Live Steam pioneers in Southern California years ago was Richard "Dick" Bagley who did a lot of work for both Disney and the Knott Family regarding railroads, Log Rides, the Mark Twain, et al..
At one time in the early days of the Disneyland construction, Dick was a member of a committee that was considering the possibility of building a three-foot gauge railroad that would be approximately ten miles in length, connecting the two Orange County theme parks, Knotts Berry Farm and Disneyland. However, as there were many other priorities at the time, this idea was dropped and never made it off the sketch pad.
This would have been a grand idea for tourists visiting both parks IF the cities of Anaheim and Buena Park had supported the idea !!
