Hell yes, the war bonnet on silver streamliners is everything a train meant in a now distant time.

Four F-3's, ABBA, in full sets, bright silver and red, with war bonnet paint schemes, pulling a full 16 car stainless steel Chief baggage, mail, dome cars, the whole enchilada, at 70 mph. over the Huntington drive overpass, in 1958 from the playground of Bonita Park Elementary School (now a park and playground)is etched forever in (what's left of?) my brain.

Now a new generation will watch LRT;s from baseball practice on hot summer afternoons..... So maybe we should get MTA to paint war bonnet's on the LRT's? And, let's make sure that Running Wolf, gets assigned one everyday to do his historic tour of the Second District, pointing out every detail of the LA&SGV, which now runs almost all of the way from LA to Mud Springs....

As Chico used to say: "Santa Fe, All the Way"
