Yea -- that was me. My wife made a specific request for a room facing the tracks, a request that was acknowledged in writing by the Isaak Walton Inn. Upon arrival on Amtrak # 8 we were placed in a room away from the tracks, having been bumped for a wedding party from Whitefish. Also, the meals were quite pricey,( $20. per box lunch ) as was the room itself. And that was BEFORE they raised the prices !!! I understand the F-45 room goes for $325. per night. I'm not cheap, ( we rode sleeper both ways from Seattle, only an overnight ride ) but I'm not stupid with my money either.
