Great Idea, but tree huggers only think of train tracks as future bike trails. Several years ago there were a couple of studies that showed how recycling actually caused more pollution than it saved because all of the handling and transportation by truck. The ONLY way recycling saves pollution is if it is transported by rail!! Todays enviromental movement has many hidden purposes---few of which really relate to the enviroment. If they really believed in their cause they would fight to save every foot of railroad track for the future--and use it---not pave it.
