This one isn't a Z train, but the MPTRV (Portland Terminal-Roseville manifest) has been referred to as the PT Cruiser (like the automobile)...

I've also heard some railfans refer to the perishables trains out of Delano, Calif. and Wallula, Wash. as the Salad Shooter...
