A little bit more detail on the Metrolink Rotem problems and the Board Meeting:

Does anyone know for sure if, and is there any video of, the Rotem cars being crash tested into motor vehicles at a crossing, like there is of the car being slammed into a train? I have not seen any, but was asked if that would be something we would want to do in an FRA crash test out at Pueblo. And, of course I said yes (since, statistically, you are hundreds of times more likely to hit a car at a crossing with a train, than to smash into another train...)

Then they asked me if they actually did this test, and was there video, like the choo-choo on choo-choo footage that was posted? And, Ahhh, I dunno..... was my answer.....

And, is there a copy of the FRA crash worthiness test reports for the Rotem's on-line anywhere?

If anyone in this community has a credible source to answer that question, please post a link, and I'll pass that on......
