It nice to hear that the KFI is trying to extend the obvious - which is the removal of all track to near San Poil… as much as it would be good that the KFI could keep some hold on the roadbed for future use - the writing is on the wall, as some of the rails have already been removed - all that is left is the bickering with the "Locals" over roadbed use.

Since the whole NIMBY - "We Hate ANYTHING RR" sentiment [whistles [horns], roadbed, tracks, locomotives, etc] is just as strong in NE Washington State as anywhere else - no doubt the "Locals" will get their way and ALL future access to any roadbed will be closed except to them - as if someone died and left them in charge of historic public access.

From personal exploration – the old Great Northern ROW along the Kettle River in BC and Washington is beautiful and should be shared by all – not just some greedy old [ mostly NEW] landowners trying to “Lock Up” the beauty for themselves.

Anyway - not much new here - "He Who Whines Loudest Wins" usually...

Talk to ya later,
Dale Jones
