I dig what you are saying, but...
I live along the UP's Geneva Sub in IL. Two kinds of trains, EBs from Global III and WBs from Proviso Yard. No stops between these points.
Given clerks, computers, printers, scanners and etc. why do so many trains leave these points with incorrect car counts?
At this point a car count should be relatively easy to establish.
