The demonstrator/test bed info is out. It's supposed to be at the RSI show at Northtown, MN the middle of the month.

More than just a new prime mover - 12-1010J is an updated 12-265H (goodbye to the 2-stroke 567/645/710 of the last 75+ years). Also includes a redesigned cab/nose returning to teardrop windows and adding an escape window on the rear left side. P6 is now standard, but trucks look too wimpy. They are claiming 200,000 pounds starting tractive effort (almost 47% adhesion) and 175,000 continuous (almost 41% adhesion). They claim production will start in 2016, but I wonder how many teething problems they will have? (I hope Volkswagen didn't help with the T4 emissions :-)
It is also rumored there will be another test bed with the Cat C175-20 diesel prime mover intended for the horrifically expensive and much delayed (indefinitely?) Metrolink F125.
