The pantograph developed in the early 'teens by a Key System employee was the Brown Roller design.. Looking at old photos and films of PE operations, including the "four tracks", I see primarily single-suspension trolley wire and NOT catenary. There was CATENARY, however, on San Pedro Street, which was dual guage, sharing space with the LA Railway.
