Bruce ---
Thanks for the links. I do not remember the
aquarium cars of old --- never played with
trains as a child.
That GATX boxcar is pretty. What a lovely
shade of blue! And they are promoting a very
worthwhile organization -- the Shedd Aquarium,
using a GATX boxcar that will carry paper for the
Packaging Corporation of America ("PCA"), one of
GATX's customers. I love the slogan the
GATX-owned ship company, the American Steamship
Company ("ASC"), has put on its ships:
"Working Together to Keep the Lakes Great".
ASC ships carry iron ore pellets, coal and
limestone aggregate, among opther dry-bulk things.
Those huge ships (1,000 feet long) also carry
both the ASC and Shedd logos. Here is a part of
the ASC newsletter that has a nice photo of the
logos and the slogan:

Hey, guys -- if any of you see either this unique
boxcar or those ships, please post photos of them
here. Thanks!
(I very much hope this beautifully-painted boxcar
is able to deffy the odds and never gets graffitied.)
