These videos from Brazil are great to watch. They got me wondering: due to the meter gauge track under very large standard gauge-size locomotives, is the track speed/train speed generally kept lower than would be found on standard gauge track? That is, are the locos (and rolling stock) less stable overall because they are so much wider than the trucks under them?
