$187,632 a mile on the NWP is not bad!

The new Metrolink Perris line down in California cost $10,345,833 a mile!!!


The project included replacement of nearly 50,000 feet — or 9 1/2 miles — of rail, 42,000 railroad ties and repairs to 28 bridges.

It was financed by a $7.1 million federal Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery line, $20,000 from Douglas County and $10,000 form Jackson County. CORP provided a 25 percent match for the project.
