You guys make these out to be a super locomotive.

This was just rebuilt from an old SD 40-2 at MotivePower in Boise, Id so it isn't that far from where it started. The cab is the only thing that is brand new. The rest of the locomotive is just torn apart, repainted, refurbished, then put back to gather.

Also desktop control stands have been out of style since 2008.
