Cost to recertifiy a 40 year old flat cars

I was wondering what the cost may be to re-cert a flat car.The cars visually look like they may have been made 20 years ago. My bro picked up some on auction for future bridges in nor cal, but I was wondering if it would be worth looking in to leaseing them till the project is ready for them. 53' flats. What could one expect to lease flat cars for? say one year.
