Frisco confusion

A few years ago I flew to Dallas for a cousin's funeral. In the van from the airport was an army guy from Frisco who was stationed in Sacramento. I said to him, "Boy you must get a few complications telling people where you're from." "Tell me about it", he said, rolling his eyes.

I mentioned that the town was named after a railroad, which of course he knew, but none of the other locals knew it, a fact that surprised both of us.
