On The Progress Rail property

At Progress Rail's Tacoma,WA., facility, Thursday Dec. 17th -- NYS&W ( ex - Espee ) SD-40T-2 # 3012, freshly repainted and with a new flared radiator module in place of the old tunnel motor radiator section. It looks like a long - nose SD-45 now !!! Perhaps a new prime mover is under the hood requiring the new radiators, but I don't understand why they should go back to a less efficient cooling design ???
Also seen On The Property recently, quite a few of BNSF's Grinstein Green SD70MAC's have been cycling through the shop, emerging with new radiator fans and vented long hood doors, all in grey primer.
