Milwaukee Road actually had two passenger depots in Tacoma,WA. The first one was next to Freighthouse square on the ex - Tacoma & Eastern line up The Gulch to Frederickson, Chehalis, and eventually Portland, OR. They built a new depot in the late 1940's next to Tideflats Yard, accessable from Milwaukee Way !!! Though the new location was much further away from downtown Tacoma, it was closer to the shops.
