Actually, the removal of anti-trust exemption would be further deregulation, not reregulation. A little history lesson is in order.......
The anti-trust exemption came about at about the same time as the government started regulating the railroads, give or take a few years. Therefore, and logically, anti-trust exemption is but one of the remaining components of railroad regulation, so if railroad regulation is bad a removal of this regulatory component would be good, right?
To say that removal of anti-trust exemption is reregulation is a falsehood.
