Let us hope so.
And that he stays home!
Or better yet, gets fired for trying to cover up CP's root problems with yet another merger. You'd think that these college educated buffoons would have realized by now that the corporate merger mania of the past few decades is far and long past its point of diminishing returns, especially in the railroad industry.
What will they do, when the whole industry has merged itself down to just one gigantic corporation? With no one left to merge with, and still they haven't solved their inability to actually manage the railroad; there will be nothing left to do except to take the money and run - to disappear, leaving the one last railroad moribund and defunct.
And don't think that any government will come pick up the pieces - Why would they? By that time, the steady decline of the railroad industry's market share experienced in the last few decades, will have reached nearly zero (not very far from that now) - rendering them irrelevant to the national economy - Mere 1:1 scale toys, if indeed any are running at all!
