My opinion:
Where there's smoke, there's usually fire.
If there were just a few accounts of mismanagement and management harassment in the UP Steam Program, I would probably ignore them. However, I've seen so much written about it on the internet that there has to be something to it. At least some of it must be true. I did not believe the first Bill Cosby accusers, but now we're up to what, 30? 40? Got to be something to it. They can't all be lying. Same with the UP Steam Program, I fear.
I've found that in most matters, the truth lies somewhere in the middle and that's probably the case with the UP Steam Program. The problem is that even if the middle is that only 1/4 or 1/3 of it is true - it's still bad.
My opinion. No more - no less. I'm not a steam locomotive "expert" - just an unbiased observer who would like to see UP steam back on the road soon.
