Hyperloop will be moving freight by 2019 according to the reports of the claims of the Hyperloop folks, as quoted on TV......but no passengers until 2021.....?

So, what do we really know from this test and round of orchestrated Hyperloop hype....?

The test was just a version of the same test held in 1969. Is magnetic repulsion able to "levitate" the train? Yes.... Does linear induction still accelerate very light test vehicles very fast? Yes....... A fact we can also easily verify on some amusement park rides....

With enough money can some of this be scaled up? Yes, we've got "convential" Maglev systems that actually carry people working in Japan, China, Germany using the same technology.... So except for the hype being spoon-fed to America's brain dead gullible news media was anything really technologically "new" demonstrated by this test? Nothing.....that I can see.....

Does this answer a single real engineering or economics question regarding the cost effectiveness, energy use, or commercial viability of such a system? Not a single one.....

Does this say how they will design, environmentally clear, entitle, acquire ROW or easements, construct the fixed guide-way system, and be ready to move "freight" (what kind, to where, at what cost????) by 2019...?

This Hyperloop "claim" of freight operation by "2019" is being made by these folks when, in May of 2016, right?

So these assertions would sure seem to sound like "hype" all right, or as some of us old timers might be inclined to call it, these assertions sound like pure bull#$it......

The hype about Hyperloop continues, and the more one hears reported, the more this sounds like pure bull$#it......

So, when is the investors meeting set to pitch this, and how much money does Musk expect or need to raise from these "investors", to have this in "operation", and hauling "freight, by 2019?
