There's plenty to criticize about the CHSRA, and then there are some of these really silly comments....

Since when is it part of some devious super secret conspiracy that we often build transportation improvements to improve access and develop land. That is the history of our nation?

What was George Washington's "day job" and how did he make his fortune? Real estate......

These conspiracy theories aren't new, we heard the same nonsense about Erie Canal, and the transcontinental RR, and those interstate highways.... Yes, there was stupid, corruption, and insider games, always are, and always will be, but at least we're not having to shovel a ton horse-crap to get around anymore.

It is an interesting accounting trick with the Federal funding lapse date coming, though.
