On Feb.19th, I slipped and fell head first in my family room striking my head on the corner of my gun safe. My spinal cord was compressed into C4 and causing me to loose use of my arms and legs. I was taken to VMC with blood pressure at 240/140. Was there for six weeks. I have since regained limited use of my limbs but still cannot walk. I have now been in bed for over three months.

Now undergoing physical therapy using a walker and power chair. The therapists tell me I have made good progress. Surgery is planned for June 22 or sooner and, assuming he doesn't screw up, my other doc tells me i should get function back in about two weeks with intensive therapy. I now can move hands and legs but extremely weak.

My wife brought me food as the slop served by VMC was worse than inedible--I lost over 40lbs while there.
