If you're around the Portland metro area checking out these events, be sure to also keep an eye out for two of TriMet's new Westside Express Service cars. A DMU and trailer coach are expected to arrive in the area this weekend via BNSF freight.
All three events are close to where the new commuter line is under construction, and you can easily check it out on the way.
Incidentally, parts of the real "Aerotrains" still survive. The Rock Island acquired them from GM in the late 1950s and operated them in Chicago-area commuter service until the mid-1960s (along with their "Jet Rocket" TALGO, which used the same type of LWT12 locomotive). When the railroad retired them, it donated an LWT12 locomotive and several cars each to the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Wisc. and the National Museum of Transport in St. Louis, Mo.
