So, your Dad was OK with three-rail track and out-of scale locos and cars, but didn't like white sidewalls (required to insulate the drive wheel tires from the rails)?
AC Gilbert also made Erector Sets, Mysto-Magic puzzles and magic sets, Chemistry Sets, Microscopes, Telescopes And Small Appliances (including vibrators to "cure Female problems." :)
BTW, I still have my childhood AF and most of my relatives' too.
