A good PNW preservation candidate: CGRX 305

A huge hole in Pacific Northwest railway preservation is the absence of a preserved EMD GP7 or GP9 from a PNW line (GN, NP, SP&S, etc). These were the ultimate first generation diesel, and ones with PNW ancestory are pretty darn scarce.

I noticed photos from 2013 of this ex-Northern Pacific GP9 (NP #247) at Stockton, CA.

WHAT A BEAUTY!!!

Is the locomotive still with us, or has it met its maker?
