Re: Trainorders glitchy?

Hmmmmm..... I know what you are talking about, sir.
I am not a computer programmer, but I think that the
code that TO runs on is somewhat glitchy/wonky.
And I don't think this odd behavior is caused by
anyone's computer, but by TO's coding.
Example:
Sometimes when I am Previewing a post, the box
with the raw text that is editable turns all dark brown
after I click "Preview", and I cannot edit the text --
because I cannot even see it. But clicking on the "Back"
button sends me to a page with the box with my raw text
that has a white background, that I can edit.
PLEASE NOTE!
I am visually impaired and need more contrast in
order to be able to read text, so I downloaded
"NoSquint", a FireFox Extension/Add-on that allows
the user to choose the color of the text and the color
of the background -- which Web Digger -- who posts on
here once in a while -- was kind enough to tell me about
a few years ago. THANK you, Web Digger!!! Anyhoo,
I always choose light yellow text on a dark brown
background, which makes text VERY easy to read.
(My son, who has superb vision, says he finds those
colors very easy to read and much easier on the eyes
and much more comfortable to read.)
Sooooo -- for moi, this particular problem I have had
with TO's software MAY be just the way NoSquint Plus --
the only program that now works with FireFox -- works
with TO's software/coding. I dunno.
Is anyone else on here having this same problem I sometimes
am having at random on TO? TIA!
And, again, to Web Digger -- THANK you from the bottom of
my heart for telling me about NoSquint!!! That program
makes it possible for me to read text I otherwise could
NOT read! And it thus allows me to continue to use the
computer. All websites now have text in light gray or
light blue on a white background, and I cannot read text
that is that non-contrasty, no matter how hard I try, unless
I change the colors of both the text and the background.
BTW -- I am NOT having a "pity part" by writing about this --
really. I am merely pointing out a problem I am having
at random times with TO, and why.
To "As info." --
About not being able to highlight and copy and paste text:
I have run into that on other websites. I think that is because
the text may not actually be text, but only an image, even if the
page is not a "pdf". Just yet another thing that some webmasters
or programmers have done -- and for no reason I can find.
Computers.......... Aaarrrggghhh!! They are both wonderful
and extremely obnoxious, almost at the same time.
Sigh........
P. S. -- Anyone know of a good FireFox Add-on that would allow
me to easily deactivate and reactivate that dratted "Caps Lock"
key? I am a poor typist, and I have to look at the keys when I
am typing, and all too often I hit the "Caps Lock" key when I
wanted to hit the letter "A". Whoever put that dratted "Caps Lock"
key right next to one of the most commonly-used letters in the
English language was incredibly stupid, and made typing what we
intended to type much harder for many people. Aaarrrggghhh!!
TIA!
