You know you're getting old when the stars of all your favorite movies of youth start passing on... I'll always remember Gene as the "Waco Kid" in Blazing Saddles, consoling poor sheriff Bart over his encounter with the old lady during his first tour of the town. Good guy, did a lot to support female cancer survivors through the Gilda's Club project, sad to see him go.
