The OP stated "he saw a picture of a Rotary with 6 B units" He also said "that many B units connected two rotary" In that, there lies a contradiction.

He did not state whether these were in action, what era, or if on a yard track awaiting use "next big snow".

Given these scarce details I was able to find in Fourwayswest Historic Overland Route book by Tom Dill on pg59, a 1969 picture of two Rotarys in action with 6 F-Units in between, albeit the two middle units are indeed Cabs elephant style. Perusing Joe Strapac's S.P. Historic Diesels V-10 on pg103 the exact same consist in 1969 but on a yard track.

Not that at first glance it would be easy for the average railfan to spot the differences between A & B given the distance from the photographer in the action shot.

I'm sure are many other pictures of the same or similar consist out there.
