Jeff pretty much hit it all. Improvements to Highway 299 are the only economic Jesus on the horizon. Now Highway 101 near Crescent City is about to fall into the ocean. That will cost a billion dollars to fix. A pleasant place to grow dope and go to college is all that's left. Indian casinos and government are the heart of the economy.
