For anyone who enjoys tossing down a frosty pint of craft beer or ale whilst watching a parade of trains pass by, I would suggest you try out the KettleHouse Brewings facility on the northside of Missoula, MT. Located very close to trackside and being an old freight facility of some sort, the floor is elevated about three or four feet and the outdoor patio gives an unobstructed view of the passing MRL and BNSF run through trains. An extra photo op bonus is a public footbridge over the tracks about a block away. Although no food is available as of now, there is a great variety of brews to sample.
