Paul, I agree with your sentiments about Mexico keeping it's passenger trains. Yes, it is too bad that only about three are left. In the 1960-1970s, my family and I used to ride the NdeM from Ciudad Juarez to Mexico City, then on to Veracruz. Those heavyweight Pullmans rode great, the dutch doors were always open (uppper half), plus fantastic scenery (desert to very high mountains to dense tropical lowlands) and a wild variety of rolling stock. Those were the days!!!
